Assessment
A Behavior Analyst (BCBA/LBA):
Observes and directly spends time assessing the client in order to gather information on his or her current areas of need
Reviews client medical records
Conducts parent/caregiver interviews
Completes rating scales/forms on behaviors of concern, client interests, and/or parent/caregivers priorities
Gathers all information to develop a treatment plan, which outlines recommendations and goals for ABA treatment
Direct Care
Behavior Technicians deliver one-on-one ABA services to target each goal outlined in the treatment plan.
Supervision +
Progress
Monitoring
Behavior Analysts supervise Behavior Technicians on a weekly basis and regularly review data to monitor progress toward each goal.
Parent +
Caregiver
Support
Behavior Analysts meet with parents and/or caregivers on a regular basis to provide guidance in using ABA principles to meet treatment goals.
